Hello, Writer!
Imagine holding a finished manuscript—shaped with intention, grounded in clarity, and informed by a real understanding of how publishing works.
I’m Jevon Bolden, a literary agent, author, and publishing executive with more than 20 years of experience helping writers transform ideas into meaningful, published books. I’m the CEO of Embolden Media Group and the author of eight books across multiple categories.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked on the acquiring, editing, and positioning side of publishing—helping shape projects that resonate with readers and stand out in a crowded marketplace.
Write Your Book brings that experience together into a structured, accessible program designed to help you write wisely—not blindly.
WHY I CREATED WRITE YOUR BOOK
I know what it’s like to carry a book idea for years—feeling called to write it, but unsure how to begin or how to shape it well.
With two decades in publishing, I created Write Your Book to offer what many writers lack: a clear framework, professional perspective, and a realistic understanding of what it takes to write a strong nonfiction book.
This program isn’t about rushing to publish or chasing trends.
It’s about writing the book you were meant to write—with care, clarity, and confidence.
IS THIS PROGRAM FOR YOU?
This program is designed for nonfiction writers who want to:
- Gain clarity around their book idea
- Develop a sustainable writing rhythm
- Learn how strong nonfiction books are shaped
- Understand how publishing decisions are made
- Work through a proven framework independently
If you’re looking for weekly live coaching or built-in one-on-one feedback, this program may not be the right fit. However, individual 1:1 writing coaching with me is available to book separately for writers who want additional support at key moments.
WHAT MAKES THIS PROGRAM DISTINCT
A Proven, Self-Guided Framework
Write Your Book is a self-guided, 12-week nonfiction writing program built around a clear progression—from idea development to manuscript structure and execution.
You’ll receive access to the same framework I’ve refined through multiple live cohorts, now designed to support focused, independent work at your own pace.
Insight from a Publishing Insider
I’m not just an author offering writing advice. I’ve spent more than 20 years inside the publishing industry—acquiring projects, editing manuscripts, and helping determine which books move forward.
Throughout the program, I share practical insight into how publishing professionals think, what strengthens a nonfiction manuscript, and how to make informed decisions about traditional, hybrid, or independent publishing paths.
Faith, Discernment & Inclusive Care
This program honors both the creative process and the writer as a whole person.
My approach integrates spiritual discernment with professional expertise and is grounded in respect for diverse voices and lived experiences. Writers from historically underrepresented backgrounds are welcomed, supported, and encouraged to write with clarity and confidence.
WRITE YOUR BOOK SUCCESS STORIES
Writers who have worked through this framework have gone on to publish traditionally, self-publish, and build clear, compelling book proposals.
- Sarita Lyons — Church Girl became a national bestseller with a Big 5 publisher
- Dawn Williams — Published When Your World Ends in 2024
- Doris Jackson — Self-published The Power of Relentless Prayer and Resilient Faith and companion journal
- Allie — Developed a clear outline and publishing plan; preparing for self-publication
- Dennisha — Created a strong book proposal and began pitching agents
(Results vary; this program focuses on clarity, structure, and preparation.)
Ready to Begin?
